Jiangxi’s First International Direct Vessel Sets Sail for South Korea

　　A Belize-flagged international direct vessel carrying 2,450 metric tons of calcium chloride recently departed from Jiujiang Hongguang International Port in Pengze County, Jiangxi Province, bound for Incheon Port in South Korea. This marks Jiangxi Province’s first international direct vessel of the year and the first in over a decade to complete both its entry and exit procedures at Jiujiang Port.

　　The departure of this vessel marks an operational milestone for Jiujiang Port. As a nationally designated inland open port, it has entered a new stage of substantive and regular operations in its role as a hub connecting river and sea transport. It not only provides a new direct route to East Asian countries for exporters and foreign-trade enterprises in Jiujiang and surrounding hinterlands—effectively reducing both logistics costs and transit time—but also serves as a significant demonstration of Jiujiang Port's capabilities as an international port.
