On January 21, the Jiangxi China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance was officially launched at the Jiangxi Daily Press. The event was hosted by the Jiangxi Daily Press and organized by the Jiangxi International Communication Center.

At the ceremony, Xiong Kongjun, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee and director of the Information Office of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, announced the establishment of the alliance. The ceremony, presided over by Zhang Jing, deputy editor-in-chief of Jiangxi Daily Press, was attended by Zhang Feng, president of Jiangxi Daily Press; Duan Xiaoxi, president of the Jiangxi Branch of Bank of China; Fan Honghui, deputy director of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education; Hu Zhiyang, deputy director-general of the Office of Foreign Affairs of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province; Huang Ligang, deputy general manager of China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd.; and Liu Yi, deputy general manager of China Nerin Engineering Co., Ltd.

In his address on behalf of the host, Zhang Feng noted that the vitality of youth drives the prosperity of causes, and thriving entrepreneurship fosters dynamic collaboration. He described the alliance not only as a concrete step in implementing the consensus of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and responding to the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, but also as a vivid demonstration of the province’s efforts to build an inland opening-up hub and inject youthful energy into its development. As a recorder of the times, Jiangxi Daily Press is not only a witness to development but also an active participant and a promoter of cooperation. By taking the lead in establishing this win-win cooperation platform, the group has gained a profound sense of mission and responsibility. It has pledged to vigorously support and serve the development of the Jiangxi China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance.

During the event, representatives from key supporting organizations—including the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, the Office of Foreign Affairs of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Branch of Bank of China, and China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd.—shared insights from their respective fields. They expressed strong support for the alliance's development by elaborating on how education, foreign affairs services, financial empowerment, and enterprise practices could contribute to its mission.

At the ceremony, the alliance also unveiled its annual entrepreneurship competition plan. The program will proceed in three phases—project solicitation, enterprise mentorship, and final evaluation—designed to meet real needs.

The ceremony gathered nearly 100 participants, including representatives from Jiangxi-based enterprises engaged with Africa, local universities, and youth delegates from China and African countries. Following the ceremony, the alliance will launch a call for entrepreneurship project proposals targeting Chinese and African youth as well as universities across the province. The announcement will be made in the near future through channels including the official WeChat account of JXICC and the official website of Jiangxi International Communication Center (www.meetjiangxi.net).
